What we do

Gutters do nothing all year and then everything in one December storm — and that's exactly when a packed one fails. Choked with oak leaves, pine needles, and grit, a gutter sends the first hard rain over its back edge, down the fascia and siding, and pooling against the foundation. By the time you spot the stain, the water has been getting in for a while. The move is to clear them before the rains, not after — October into December, ahead of the first real system off the Pacific. Goleta Pressure Washing clears every gutter by hand, bags the debris, and flushes each downspout until it runs clear, then checks the brackets and seams while we're up there. On the canopy lots around Montecito, the Riviera, and Hope Ranch, where mature oaks and eucalyptus shed all year, this isn't a once-a-season job. It's the quiet maintenance nobody thinks about until the year they skip it.

We pull the debris out by hand and bag it — we don't blow it down onto your roof, across your patio, or into the flowerbeds for you to deal with later. Everything that comes out of the gutter leaves with us.

Then every gutter run and downspout gets flushed with water until it runs clear. Clearing the trough but leaving a plugged downspout just relocates the problem — the water still backs up and pours over. Flushing is how we confirm the whole system actually drains, and it catches the hidden clog at the elbow before the first storm does.

While we're up there we check the fasteners, the seams, and the slope, and we tell you what we find. A bracket that's begun to pull or a seam weeping at a corner is cheap to catch now and expensive to ignore until a full gutter tears loose in January.

We wipe down the streaked gutter faces so the line looks clean from the curb, not just clear on the inside. And we'll help you time it — before the rains for everyone, and quarterly on the heavy-canopy lots where oak, pine, and eucalyptus never stop dropping.

Our gutter cleaning process

  1. 1

    Hand-clear

Debris pulled out by hand and bagged — nothing blown onto the roof or into your yard.

  2. 2

    Flush

Every gutter and downspout flushed with water to confirm flow and clear the hidden clogs at the elbows.

  3. 3

    Inspect

We check fasteners, seams, and slope and flag anything starting to pull or leak.

  4. 4

    Detail

Streaked gutter faces wiped so the whole line looks clean from the street.

Why choose us

  • Debris cleared by hand and hauled away — never blown into your yard or onto the roof
  • Every downspout flushed and confirmed draining, not just the troughs cleared
  • Free check of brackets, seams, and slope while we're up there
  • Timed before the rains, so overflow never gets its shot at the fascia

What it costs

Single-story homes usually run $120–$250; two-story and long-perimeter homes more, based on linear feet of gutter and how much has built up. Downspout flushing is included, not billed as an extra.

Questions

Gutter Cleaning FAQs

When should I clean my gutters in Santa Barbara?

Before the rains — October into December, ahead of the first real Pacific storm — is the single most important time, so the water has somewhere to go when it finally arrives. Homes under heavy oak, pine, or eucalyptus canopy shed year-round and do better cleared quarterly. Clearing them after a storm has already overflowed is fixing the problem the hard way.

How often should gutters be cleaned?

Twice a year for most homes — late fall after the leaves drop and again in spring. Homes under the oaks, pines, or eucalyptus common on the South Coast often need it quarterly, because those trees shed all year rather than dropping once and stopping.

Do you flush the downspouts too?

Yes, and it's included. Clearing the gutter but leaving a plugged downspout just moves the problem downstream, so we flush every downspout and confirm it drains before we leave. The clog you can't see at the elbow is the one that overflows in the storm.

What happens if I never clean my gutters?

Water overflows the back edge and runs down the fascia and siding, which leads to wood rot, foundation pooling, and stained walls. Standing debris also holds moisture against the roof edge and shortens the life of the whole roofline. It's slow, then in one wet winter it's sudden and expensive.
